My name is Paradis Reed. I have been practicing Emergency Medicine for 15 years. I have committed my life to caring for others and remaining at the top of my profession.

The issue of elder care is very near and dear to me. Until her recent passing, I cared for my mother for over ten years in our family home which was a pleasure and an honor. This, in addition to my daily work as a physician, has brought elder care to the forefront of my mind. 

The mission of Elite Care Northwest is to provide a skilled team that will function at an executive level to coordinate and carry out a care plan in partnership with current physicians and family in order to help seniors to live their very best lives. 

While I am lucky to have a large and supportive family as well as access to high-quality medical care, I understand that this is not the case for everyone. In addition to the medical and financial considerations, caring for my mother also had a deep emotional impact, and self-care during this period was crucial in order to continue to be the best wife, mother, daughter, and doctor I could be. 

Over the past ten years, I have experienced the ins and outs and ups and downs of the aging process. Although I have extensive education and medical training, I also acknowledge that much of what I have learned during this period is based on my own personal experience. I understand what it is like to worry, to watch your loved one change before your eyes, to have to answer really big questions that hold major consequences.

Every Step of the Way!

My mother is 86 years old, and she's been told she doesn't look any older than 70 year-old. I think that's due to the fact that she has always taken care of herself.

My mother raised three girls in the 60s and 70s, not a time where that was common. After she became an empty nester she met a wonderful man and they enjoyed many years together. He then got ill, and she took care of him, as best she could.

So you can see, when she needed help It was very difficult for her to reach out and admit she couldn't help herself.

Each of us daughters have different gifts and have been a support various ways over the years. Unfortunately, when several health issues came up we were unable to meet her needs. This is when Dr. Paradis Reed came into the picture. She actually went to see my mother! She assessed her overall health. Some things were able to be fixed right away and some are still in process. But Dr. Reed has been there each step of the way.

The difference between us daughters managing this phase in her life and Dr. Reed is, "She's not her daughter." I would add that she truly has the skills and love for the elderly.

My mother now is feeling so much better and often says she has no needs now. (Her independent self is back)!

Full Recovery, Faster.

When anticipating my scheduled radical prostatectomy procedure, naturally many questions and concerns came to mind. Thankfully, my surgery was a success but my full recovery was the next step. I feel confident SAS was the key to my full recovery.

An Extended Family

My mother-in-law is currently out of state and living on her own. She wanted to continue living independently, but was in need of additional support getting to doctor’s appointments and managing her medication. Dr. Reed and her team were able to respond right away and win her trust. Now she is able to maintain her independence while remaining safe and healthy.

Owner and CEO

Dr. Paradis Reed graduated from Kamehameha Schools, University of Hawaii-Manoa, and University of Hawaii School of Medicine. After attending medical school, Dr. Reed went on to complete her Emergency Medicine Residency at University of Massachusetts, a very busy Level 1 trauma center. 

Dr. Reed has practiced Emergency Medicine for 15 years and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Emergency Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians. Dr. Reed held attending positions in both Massachusetts and Baltimore, Maryland prior to moving to Seattle where she worked in Swedish Emergency Departments.

Dr. Reed will provide an initial in-depth medical assessment, oversee medication management, supervise in-home care, coordinate with other providers, and routinely communicate with family members regarding ongoing care.
